Default IT Jobs

Hi!

I allready posted a thread on this forum but what I'm wondering more specifically what the IT job market is like? How competive are programming jobs in NYC? Are there more Java jobs versus .Net jobs? Also what would be the best route to target these type of positions in NYC?

Thanks and regards

Hit the web. Monster Jobs/Dice.com/Career Builder.com. IT jobs in Manhattan pay good money, especially if you get in a good company!

Absolutely. I can't think of a better place in America to land a good IT job than New York City! My wife is in that field and does very well. Companies seem to fight over good IT's and it looks like they'll never be unemployed.

Plus you'll have a good salary, starting at 100,000 and more. Just do it.

IT is booming in NYC. If you have the skills, you can do REALLY well. I'm a systems/network support guy and although I'm doing pretty good I WISH I followed through with my CS degree instead of the route I took. The software development guys are making some serious coin. If you have financial industry experience, FUHGETABOUTIT, name your price. OK maybe an exaggeration, but you get the point.
