Default Driving from Manhattan to Nnyack

Hi, do you know how long would it take to drive from Upper West / Columbia to Upper Nyack on a weekday at 8AM?

I could take the Henry Hudson Pkwy, cross the George Washington Bridge, and then follow the Palisades Interestate Pkwy. Mapquest says it's 25 miles and 40 minutes, but I'm afraid that might not consider heavy traffic at the bridge, although I'd be going against it.

Thanks!

That time frame sounds about right to me, since you're going against traffic and there's not too much traffic on the Palidades Parkway headed in that direction. Outbound GWB traffic is not too bad in the morning rush hour, though mid-to late-morning can be a nightmare.

Default you could

also take the h Hudson Pkwy straight thru, bypassing the GWB and continue up the Saw Mill River Pkwy thru Westchester into the NY State Thruway over the Tappan Zee bridge. Just over the bridge then will be the Nyacks (Upper Nyack is exit 11). Mileage probably about the same (but an extra toll on the H Hudson Pkwy crossing into Riverdale)

I would tend NOT to use the Tappan Zee during rush hour and think the GW would be faster.
