He's not saying to do it! He's getting you money for something that you normally don't. It's always been up to the men to dictate the direction of the job. Harry doesn't say....oh, it's 5 dollars you guys really should run to the dump. It's the power of CHOICE.

In the concessions under the Health benefits deal last week....did anybody notice "furloughs, compressed work schedules" among some concessions?? I haven't found the details yet, it might be directed at non-uniform.

However, what if they try a 10 hour work period in the future 6-4 . Maybe you'll have time to swing by the dumps on your new split hopper routes. The dump money was with an eye to the future. To the districts who already dumped, fine, they got a bit extra. To the districts that will be FORCED, by new dumps being opened near the garage, he was getting you something that would build with future raises.

Or would you rather have MVO's come in and dump the trucks! City workers with CDL's......

You have to think for yourself. YOU ARE YOUR OWN SHOP STEWARD.

It's an 8 hour job. TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE SAFE.

for some districts this wont change a thing. In my garage it legitimately takes about 3 hrs depending on how the BQE feels that day to dump a split on the 4-12. The dumps are just so far away. it is a 35mile round trip. We go to shepherd and hugo LIC. Some garages have to go to visy in SI and hugo in NJ which is like 45miles round trip.
