Well I actually thought that since in the last couple weeks crime has calmed down a bit that maybe the crime wave thats been going in this city since the start of the year was over...... but I was wrong.

People in NY should really relax a bit. I mean, many Newyorkers end up moving down to South Florida because of the weather (10 months of frigging heat and humidity..!) and the crime in the West Palm Beach-Ft Lauderdale-Miami area is way higher than NY.
West Palm Beach itself could keep it up with NY when it comes to shootings, robberies and murders. Only NY has 8 million people, WPB about 100,000.
Ny is a huge city so there are troubled areas, as everywhere. But definitely, when you look at size and population, NY is much safer than South Florida and many other southern cities.

Like I said before NYC is WAY to big to be compared with a city like West Palm Beach which has only 100,000 a better comparison with the suppsoed crime filled city of West Palm Beach is our crime filled neighborhood of East New York.

But when you look at where the majority of all the crime/murders occur it makes a big difference, I think its irresponsible to consider NYC a safe city, it looks that way because it has 8 million but probably less than 1 million live in the high crime areas.
I'd like to make a separate crime/murder rate and only include parts of the South Bronx, Brownsville, East New York, South Jamaica, parts of Harlem, etc. to see how high it is but it would still be inaccurate with the NYPD's underreporting.

That story is so sad but so typical. I've seen so many arguements between people who just can't let go of a little bump, it's mind-boggling. It annoys me to get bump, but you just keep it movin. Cases like this just maes me wanna shake my head.

People do not realize how many crazy people that are in that area. I worked right next door for 2 years.
