This is 100% true. I wouldn't say the area is rich(upper middle class is the area specifically, but alot of Westbury is damn Ghetto), but i used to chill with him in my friends basement. Back then i didnt even know he rapped, but one day my brother told me he had a remix of in the club that went," go mimsy, its your birthday", so i dissmissed him as wack. Mims is definitely from New York. I knew him when he was younger. I know for a fact he went to Randolph HS in Harlem for a couple of years. He's from the Heights, but then he moved out to LI. There's no way he was 12 when he moved to LI, lol, he had to have been in his mid to late teens at least.

Heck Mims is his actual last name, you could probably actually look him up in NYC records if you wanna bother that much looking into it.

haha mims i knew him when we were teens in school i used to call him quick because whenever he would rob someone he would runaway so fast.......good times......well not for the victim.

Lol, I don't know if KRS is making a joke or what. Don't really remember Mims as the thug/criminal type. He was actually a pretty normal, smart kid. But hey appearances can be deceiving.

Wash Heights and Harlem tend to have tight-knit neighborhoods so people know each other.

How can you call that Good times? Robbing people? hanging out with criminals? Yea well I laughed so hard when i read that article because everywhere i read it said he was from the heightz but i was like i used to chill wit him it westbury. I always tease my girl when his songs come on and go Ikno wmIMS lol.

Now, we wasnt boy or anything, but my best friend was friends with him, so we were in the same room alot. I aint seen him since he got money, but why would it be so hard to believe that people would have known him?
