ok so ive heard its #1 submit application #2 get a letter from nycha confirming they recieved your application #3 getting contacted for an interview, well i sent out an application for housing about 2 -3 weeks ago and yesterday i got a letter in the mail for my interview so i skipped right over #2, from what ive read on other posts here people have waited years for the letter i got, so is this a good sign? think im going to get an apartment fast ?
plz no "ragging" on the projects..i know they are not the best place but there are some pretty good ones, and due to my current situation it would be soo nice for me to get an aprtmrnt asap...also anyone know which developements in queens are good and bad, i lived in astoria (my mothers apt)for 8 years ,, not GREAT but we lived in a corner building away from all the drama so i felt safe, im asking because queens was my 1st pick of borough,,and i DO NOT want to end up in far rockaway thanks in advance for the help

Forest Hills Cooperative is the best of them all. Make sure that's #1.

Residents at Forest Hills Co-op once upon a time owned shares in their apartment and could sell them, but only to Housing.
