It's ok to me...there are likes and dislikes...I lived in north Jersey so it's not very diffrent ...but NYC is alot more exspensive and the schools and rude snotty teenagers is a bit much....It depends on where you live...I like sheepshead bay brooklyn...very nice area...almost surburban like...very safe area ...I loved it...I live in Bushwick now and wow what a diffrence. However Im moving to canarsie...I dont know too much about Canarsie yet but Im hoping it's nicer and safer.

It has the most to offer out of any city I have ever been too. It is the city which sets the standard by which I judge all other cities. If you are a person who enjoys city life then NY is the best. Huge skyscrapers, nightlife, tons of unique "charachters", ppl rom all over the country and world. If you enjoy peaceful, rural and country living you will prob. not like NYC as a permenant residence. I happen to like both country and city living.

To me, NYC is like a roller coaster ride. Very exciting for about 4 minutes but nauseating and stressful if you stay too long.

NYC is still the best city for someone with no car and not enough money to purchase a home. There is more rental opportunities here than in any other city. The NYC Subway allows you to work in area much further than you would in other cities without a car.

Run...I understand what you are saying...but would you relocate...and if the answer is yes where would you go...if you were to leave NY?

That's not entirely true. Toronto is much more affordable for someone with no car and not enough money to purchase a home. Rent here for a nice one bedroom sets you back anywhere from $850 - $1,000. Transit (though not as vast as the MTA) gets you to wherever you want to go. I would also throw Chicago and Paris in the mix.
