need safe place in bronx (Pelham, Morris: for rent, safe area, to live in)

I am moving to the bronx for work at montefiore hospital. I need a safe area to live in , I am a female and live alone and will be working late at the hospital. I can afford about 12-14,00 for rent to get into a safe place with parking. Where do I look?

i wouldnt live directly in the bronx being a female by yourself, why not try westchester county, like possibly somewhere close to the metro north train line? or do u want to be in the bx

If you want a place to feel comfortable, I suspect you will like Throggs Neck, Country Club, Pelham Bay, Woodlawn, Riverdale, Morris Park, Pelham Parkway. They all have varying degrees of parking.

I heard Morris Park is safe and still fairly cheap.
