I was trying to hold off to see what some of the other more "hip" posters had to say about this. There are some that feel that there are no bad neighborhoods in NYC anymore.

Here's my opinion, this is not a place I would would want my kids or my mother walking around at night or as school gets out (that is actually the most dangerous time in some places). You got a long walk from the subway station at Clinton-Washington or the Atlantic Ave station. It is certianly alot safer than it was 5-10 years ago and it may be getting better as I type, but I would avoid it.

Don't do it. That's not a good neighborhood. Try Canarsie or Park Slope.
