Technically, a cab cannot refuse to take you to Queens, legally. Now, that is a medallion cab, subject to NYC TLC regulations, what the unmarked liveries do is all their own business. What you must do, however, is get in the cab before you tell them the destination. If they refuse, take their license number and make a complaint, or call over a nearby policeman if there's one around. Some try to dodge saying that they're off-duty, but if they stop when you hail them, and you get in the cab, they must take you to your destination since they were on-duty when you hailed them or they would not have stopped.
are you kidding me...$1200 a month to RENT a studio in Bayside? I OWN a studio on the beach in Long Beach and I pay $900 a month. Personally I don't know anyone rents in this city. Too expensive.
Hey body, he is actually telling the truth. Do you know how much it is to rent a studio in Manhattan, around 3000dollars a month. Thus, being fool is not one's mistake but shall consider poor attitude as an unhealthy element.
we went there on a saturday for dinner but it was to over priced for what it was . my wife and i each had a saki and i think by the time we were done we were up to 80-or 90 bucks..
we wont go back. i would rather add a few bucks and go to a number of different places. cinco de mayo is fantastic. i like bare burger although it is pricey.
uncle jacks is my favorite and erawan is awesome food.
I would say Douglaston Manor is one the nicest places in Queens, although a little snobbish and stuck-up. I think Little Neck is a pretty nice area too.
Douglaston manor is more expensive than Bayside. Top 5 areas IMO in Queens county
1. Malba, Huge homes right near the bridge.
2. Neponsit, Got hit hard by Sandy but it's the hamptons within NYC.
3. Beechurst, Very nice area also near the whitestone and throggs neck bridge
4. Howard Beach, Nice homes and a very well maintained area
5. Forrest Hills Gardens, Very stately homes, it reminds me of Fieldston in Riverdale
A personal favorite is Middle Village. Just a very solid middle class area that's held on. Great park also, Juniper Park. My other personal favorite is the historic area within Jackson Heights. I had the pleasure of going in some of them. It's old school NY. The Greystones, Hawthorne Court, and The Chateau.

I wish I could rep you, but it won't let me.
