The first time I saw NYC was 1986. I was in awe of the place and I still am to a certain degree. Unmatched majestic ambiance in various spots, but repulsiveness is ever-present. Great place to visit and gain inspiration.

I ultimately concluded that I could not make my fortune there without shortening my life span due to the stressful, intense nature of the place. I wasn't interested in a city that forced me adjust to it.

woodywoody is on a distinguished road
I first went to NYC about 3 months ago. When I walked out of Penn Station I was awestruck. The back of my neck was tingling. The energy of that place, the tall buildings, how different it is from anywhere else I'd ever been including living in downtown Rome, Italy. I decided I had to live there (keeping a place in the country also just in case). So now I live here and I love it. I love the subway and not having to have a car. I love the shops, the people, the sounds, the activity and I still look up at the massive buildings and they still give me a thrill. I definitely LOVE NY.
