Default Grades K-8 teacher

NOTE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER!! I WAS A STUDENT IN HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE!! I KNOW HOW THEY ARE. . .especially since I made a teacher retire 10 years early . I'm planning on majoring in early childhood education but. . .for NYC, what are the degree requirements? Some people are telling my its Masters, others say Bachelors. I'm sure there are teachers that come here so I need to know. Also whats the salary like? Form what I was told, it goes up a little every year.
