Hey guys,

What would be a good place to find parking around Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn? I'll be posted there for a few months. Starting next week I'll be coming in around 08:00am and then a week after that maybe around 6-7 am.

I thought I'd ask since its such a very busy area. Any useful tips?

I wish you well... I won't be surprised if you have to park a few blocks away. Parking over there is ridiculous. I lived on Starr St, off of St. Nicholas Ave., so even when I had my polypectomy done, I just walked it home. Didn't feel like having to deal with the hassles of driving there and trying to find parking.

I should add, though, that I've been gone from NY since 2005, so they may very well have addressed that since then.

nothing's changed in terms of congestion....its still going to be a challenge to park around there...

If my memory serves me well I think the shift change at 7 am in that hospital. I always found parking around that time, I just waited on the street to see some nurse get in the car and leave, i think at 8 am it would be a little harder. But I never had any problem even at 9 or 10 am, you should find parking withing 10 to 15 mins. max 20 mins. and it should be no more then 3 blocks away. Hey 3 blocks away in NY is normal walk for everybody.

You can try parking near the L train stations. Then take the L train to Dekalb, which is just one block from the Hospital. I am going to be a resident there for a bit and was thinking about diving my car as well. If I could drive it would be a 10 minute commute, but the trains may just be easier but 30 minute commute.
