Default What is the real price for a 150ft studio in Manhattan?

I'm planning to move to NYC late this year. But still cannot make up my mind how much my budget must be to rent a studio in Manhattan.
My reqs are as follows:
150 ft (no less)
concierge
near subway lines
utilities may not be included

budget: 1300$

thanks in advance,

I don't think there is such a thing as a 150 sq ft studio or a studio in a doorman bldg in Manhattan for $1,300 .If there is one it's going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

With a CONCIERGE???

Any studio in a building with a concierge is going to be bigger than 150 square feet and will be MUCH more than $1300.

All right. I do think 1300 $ is just unreal, though the craiglist gives me such figures. What is the real price then for what I ask? Concierge may be excluded
P.S.It would be great if you advise an area for a 24 old who likes clubbing with a 2,5K limit.
Thank all of you guys for the comments!

First, you have to prove that you earn 40x the rent that you pay each year. The landlord will do a financial and background check. Are you going to be employed in NYC?

Well, I'm moving to NYC to attend classes at Paul Mitchell (10 months) and I'm going to get employed while being a student. That's for sure.

You're going to be very limited regarding where you can legally work on an F-1 student visa:

Students may work on campus as long as they are enrolled in school.
Students may apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) to gain work experience in their field of study while being a full time student.

There are studios on the west side, in some Chelsea buildings, that are about that size, having been formerly bachelor apartments. They just have a kitchenette, however, and a tiny bathroom and a closet. You could potentially find one for under your budget, but it will definitely not have a doorman and not a concierge, either.

You might do better looking at sublets to rent a room with other students or professionals in a good part of Manhattan, since if you have a couple of people, $1300 goes that much further. And, most landlords want to sign a lease for a year at the rate quoted, so if they will even consider a shorter term, most likely the rent will be a tad higher for the concession.

Most doorman buildings have plenty of studios but don't have any as small as 150sq ft. I'd estimate the current fair market rent for my West Village studio (which is in a Concierge building) to be at least $2100/month
The main living space is 12x20 = 240 square feet (not counting kitchen, bath, closets).
