Anyone visited Ochard beach recently. I went there a couple of times, the last time couple years ago and it was dirty that nobody really swimming. Trash floating among swimmer. Dead animal are everywhere.
I'm planning to go there this summer and hope it's cleaner. I have gone to Coney Island the last few years and hope OB is just as clean now.

Was there last week. Wasn't near the water, but saw people swimming.

Default well

back in the 70's my parents told me it was terrible so i always got curious about it. in 1992 when i got my job we took our clients there and i finally had my curiosity satisfied. i thought it was nothing like they had described. our patients weren't allowed in the water but the beach and facilities were decent

i've gone to sherwood island park in westport, ct a few times, same body of water as orchard beach but 30 miles up, lots of rocks in the water, maybe orchard is like that too?

It's usually pretty crowded (much more than the beach at Coney Island, I think) but I wouldn't say it's especially dirty.

I think it depends a lot on the tidal conditions, and the currents.

It is not really on the ocean, but on Long Island Sound. Sometimes there's lots of crap and schmutz in the water, sometimes it's as clear as can be.

My favorite NYC beach.
