Considering a 2 bedroom apt at 119th and fredrick douglass, what do you think? We are 2 white females rooming....is this better than 115th and frederick douglass? or is 115th better area?

Further south is generally better, but its a 4 block difference, there is no difference between the two. I personally would prefer 119 because its closer to 125.

125th Street is a major cross street, with many stores, banks, etc., as well as numerous bus and subway connections.
