no I was being sarcastic...I would pick blocks North of Fordham...i.e. toward Bedford Park NOT WEST towards the Grand Concourse.

Morris off Fordham Road isn't bad. Morris further away from Fordham Road, is really ghetto though.

IMO since I live near the area,
Fordham rd and the side blocks west of Washington ave is ghetto (University, Aqueduct, Grand, Davidison, Jerome, Walton, Morris, Creston, Grand Concourse, Valentine, Thebout, Decatur, Third ave, Webster and Washington). As you move further east around Arthur, Crotona etc it's better immediately of the strip. But head down a few blocks to around 183rd and you're in the living hell that is East Tremont .
This is just my opinion from my expiriences in the area.
I also don't think that the blocks just north of Fordham are any better really. Like was said above, there is alot of drug activity in those areas.

I don't get this quote. Arthur Ave and City Island (and to a lesser extent morris park) are the two hottest culinary areas in the bronx. Arthur Ave. recieves extra police patrols to ensure the safety of the tourists who frequent the area.
Unless your just expressing your racist views again.

I think everyone can figure out that Guywithacause and I definitely don't agree on every single issue concerning every neighborhood. But even I have to step in here. Guywithacause is definitely one of the non-racist people on this forum. If he had his way there would be no rich and poor or segregated areas in NYC. We would all be one big happy, living in perfect in harmony NYC.
Since of us think there are definite issues that keep rich and poor from living together and the middle class gets knocked out of the loop altogether, we like to debate about this. I personally think it keeps the forum alive, but that's my opinion.

Not in my neighborhood. At least not openly (out on the corner) that is. Don't know what people do behind closed doors
