Jrock is just holding a grudge because I don't like the mafia (gasp!) and I called him on his double standard towards areas of color. Don't take it personal dude....it was an observation.

If you are gonna call me a racist,,at least have something other than your own whim to back it up. I was asked which areas/blocks of Fordham are the best..to which I replied anything that is in and around Arthur avenue..which I stand by. It is low scale housing, low density, with alot of local establishments, retail/restaurants, very walk-able and peaceful.

Seventhfloor we all know that there is drug activity in just about every area in this country, espeically all over the Bronx and NYC. The question YOU was NOT which streets/areas of Fordham had no drug activity...clearly the answer would be 0 for just about everywhere in the city. The question was which areas/buildings in Fordham were the BETTER blocks...to which I stand by my reply.

Guywithacause, I wouldn't say drugs are found just about EVERYWHERE. You won't find drugs in many places, it just so happens that Fordham and the sorrounding area is the ghetto, therefore drugs are plentiful.

Lol...clearly drugs are not EVERWHERE..but realistically speaking they are in most places...and just about every place that middle income people can afford to live. They are most definitely in every neighborhood in NYC and plentiful, whether it be the occasional pot smoker or big-time dealer...you can't escape it in any area in this city.

However, should you seek a host of drugs, from a variety of dealers, within a small area, Fordham would be a good choice for a one stop shop.

Open air drug activity = bad
Hidden drug activity = FAR WORSE

When there is open drug activity...it is easy to spot and clean up. The real problem however is when it is not open and blatant, and in neighborhoods where you least expect. So 95% of Fordham may have blatant drug activity, or it may not, but 90% of everyother area has the same activity, just behind closed doors. That is the reality of living in NYC...so don't assign fault to one community and not everyother.

Yes Moth...and as I stated in my prior post...you will note that I acknowledged that fact. It does not change the fact that the drugs are everywhere however..just because you don't see it in the upper east side..doesn't mean it is not prevalent there....
