Well anybody still think Fordham-Bedford is a good area? IMO, this is Hustla's best work.

Come back Hustla!!

el luchador is on a distinguished road
Bedford Park, that is North of Bedford Park Blvd, is pretty good. Quiet and residential. I would put the borders at Bedford Park Blvd to Mosholu Pkway S-N), Webster Ave to the Concourse (E-W). Some people add that stretch of Bedford Park up to the Resevior, but I consider that Kingsbridge. In any case, Bedford Park is a different neighborhood from Fordham. South of Bedford Park Blvd it's a little wild-west-ish. As someone who bought a bout a year ago, I can say that I am seeing more and more goofy white people/hipsters/PBS 13-watching folks around trying to make that New York real estate dollar stretch. By the way does anyone know when the renovation on the Williambridge Oval off of Bainbridge will be done?

Why have Hustla come back when we have you, his son, continuing his legacy?

Fordham-Bedford is not a good area. That said, you should not fear it at all during the day. Nothing happens. At night, things get shady, but that's understandable.

Bedford Park 202st up is alright.

lol...I try!

I agree with you on Fordham-Bedford.

But on a side note, what neighborhood is W Kingsbridge rd considered? Is it University Heights, Kingsbridge Heights, or Kingsbridge?

If it's the latter two then I seriously think that alot of you have no clue what you're talking about. There was another shooting on W Kingsbrisge today and there was one a couple of weeks ago. From where I live, the neighborhood kids always roll deep to avoid Kingsbridge. Around here it is a no go zone so I wonder the disparity between the opinion of this board and the opinion on the streets. From first hand expirience, it is a HOT block. Unless you guys group it with University Heights (I guess you can), you guys sell whatever neighborhood it's in short.

Sorry for going off topic. Just figured that it's close enough to Fordham-Bedford, and this topic has talked about Soundview and 183rd st so I guess im not too far off lol.

Luchador I agree in general, although I think that many blocks immediately south of Bedford Park Blvd are alright too. I believe the official boundary of the neighborhood is 198th, but it's definately nicer the farther north you get. Sorry, I'm not up on the renovations at the Oval.

W Kingsbridge rd area is considered K'bridge hts according to my local newspaper and crime stats. One area in particular that constantly gets reported in the police beat is the area in between K'bridge rd, the reservoir, Reservoir Ave and Sedgwick Ave which includes Webb, Claflin, University, 195th, 197th street. Constants reports of break in robberies, street assaults, muggings, car thefts. One particular dangerous street seems to be Reservoir Avenue from the Lehman parking lot down to K'bridge rd--constant hold ups and assaults of people in the middle of the night and even during the day.

And i think K'bridge rd gets worse as one goes east to 194th street

Superbowl halftime was sorta boring not a big tom petty fan. So here I am on city-data. lol.

Saturday night was a busy night in Fordham for the police. A lot of stuff happened. I'm not the type to stay around and be nosy but a whole block on 188th by the concourse was cordoned off. I went out a couple of times and there were cops everywhere.

I dont know how you feel safe living in Fordham. With streets like 187th Washington, 184th Thebout, 183rd Valentine, 187th Webster, 183rd Creston it's impossible.
