It would be the greatest pleasure of my life. I loved getting on the subway every morning that they were my destination. I know so many others felt the same way -- and still do. Now more than ever, the answer is YES.

It is a construction site. If you want to see scary, go to a Queens construction site!

That stuff is all in your head.

This is like the question asking people if they would ever get in a plane again after 9-11. I do not see people DRIVING to Hawaii. Well, a few may have tried, but still...

The thing is, our perception has changed. I see it VERY unlikely that 2 or 3 guys will be able to take over a plane full of people armed with only a few pointy objects after the people on the planes of 9-11 did exactly that (except possibly th eone that went down in...VA?). We were always told to sit tight and wait it out (hostage situation).

Now? No.

Also, with additional attension in the design to secure routes out of the building, there has been a LOT of design on making this building more "resistant" to thnigs like this. Redudndant design, stronget core, a whole plethora of additional measures have been taken.

That, combine with the fact that it would be a SWEET commute, I would say "HELL YES!". I wish our company would GET some space there! You kidding me?!?

Nope. I wouldn't have worked there before it happened either. Too much of a pain to get into and out of. I interviewed on a really high floor and knew I wouldn't work there. Security lines, changing elevators - I would have been late every day. Plus I could feel the building swaying. Since the interview was with Cantor Fitzgeral I'm really glad I went with my gut.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. I would prefer the old Twin Towers design over this new Freedom tower design. We're the ones letting the terrorists win by not rebuilding them.
In addition I feel all the security gates in these buildings dont protect anyone. I miss the days when you could walk into a Manhattan high rise and take a ride on the elevators. Now you cant do that, you have to be an employee with an ID Badge which you scan (usually RFID) at a turnstyle.
It really doesn't make you any safer. A terrorist could still blow himself up by the building and kill people. The media and the fear mongerers (like King George) have drilled fear into people, yet the risk posed by terrorists is actually quite small, compared to the risk of crossing the street or driving your car.
It's sad how free movement within our country is now so restricted, but yet movement into our country from the outside, sadly, is not. If we want to reduce the risk of terrorism, we need to keep terrorists out of the country by securing our borders.
It's sad how the public is kept from enjoying the many archetectual and engineering wonders of NYC.
Fortunately we can still check out the hotels, but I wonder how much longer that'll last.
People need to stop giving into fear and just enjoy life. The biggest thing to fear is fear itself.
I want the Twin Towers back. I'd visit them on the 1st day they were open.
