Anyone read about this? I live in Wash Heights and i heard the bikes going at full speed. i thought they were just showing off but it looks like they were chasing someone in a Black Ranger Rover. I don't blame the driver. I would has sped off too. A group of over 5 equals gang mentality

I doubt they're part of an "official" crew. If they were, they'd have their colors on.

Dude shouldn't have been tailgating that close to the bike. Not saying he deserved it, but you're supposed to keep an invisible car space or two behind the other vehicles to avoid hitting someone who accidentally breaks.

One of the bikers hit the brakes when the SUV was behind him. He was also aware that the SUV was behind him.

Again, the SUV shouldn't have been that close to him in the first place.

Having lived in Inwood (which is a motorcycle hotspot) and having to deal with lawless bike gangs creating chaos at all times of day and night during the warmer months I hope the NYPD will start doing something more about them such as handing out tickets since I seen a lot of motorcyclists break laws that would land someone driving a car in jail or get their license revoked. Having something that can go 180+ mph in NYC isn't practical or necessary. It's just to showoff IMO.

Although, driving a Range Rover (or almost any car besides a taxi) also isn't necessary in Manhattan unless you're going off road... which you can't do in the city. The driver shouldn't have rammed through the bikes since that makes the situation worse but he may have been scared for himself and his family by the "gang"; there seemed to be around 50 (or more) bikers taking over the highway.

They are not bikers. They are cyclists. Not the same at all!
