The New York Times reports that the city hasn't had a day in the 90s yet. In 140 years, the city has never failed to reach in either June or July

Really? There's a little temp monitor in Astoria that was saying it was 92 degrees on Thursday...

Honestly our summers suck. Even if we don't get 90's the humidity more than makes up for it. This summer has been extra sucky because it's been cloudy or raining on so many days while still being humid.
Today was actually pretty nice though (knock on wood).

NYC is the next London.. it's just going to rain here randomly all the time. Unfortunately, that's how I sometimes feel lately..

You all sound like complaining? I thought (and think) this summer is the easiest and most comfortable in NYC, gorgeous sunshine (until the last couple days) and never too hot. My complaint is that we didn't really have spring. Winter ended about mid or late May, followed by summer. Let's see when the fall will kick in... or perhaps winter without fall...

I prefer humid days to rainy days, that's just me.

I am not complaining, it is great that it hasn't got into the nineties. NYC feels miserable when it gets above 90, all the heat reflected off the asphalt and concrete. Our humidity is bad also but that is how it is for the entire Eastern U.S.
