I'm with 4-SV and nycricanpapi. It really just comes down to NYC envy (jealousy). No matter how they rationalize or sugar coat deep inside they know NYC is Alpha 1. Case Closed!!!

New York city is an awesome place but I wouldn't say that it would be the best city in the world.

This is in reference to the entire thread. NY is a great city in many respects, but what does it mean to say that it is the greatest city in the world? That depends on your definition of greatness. There are many wonderful cities in the world: London, Manchester, Brisbane, Sydney, San Francisco, Berkeley, Madison, Ithaca... to name a few that I have visited. Again, I will say to each his (her) own.
