Yes, but look at it this way - he can sign with the Eagles when he gets out.

I'm sure he'll never get a gun without a safety again...

It's funny because I can actually see this happening too. Two years, McNabb's contract is done, they want to replace him with Vick, need a receiver... oh boy....

I for one feel much safer now.Plaxico will definitley not shoot himself again.Pretty sure that wasn't going to happen anyway,...but you never know.
Joe Naughton from Callicoon,Sullivan County NY shot his barmaid dead and got 6 months. You can google it.Good thing tough joe didn't shoot himself in the leg.He would have got 4x the sentence.
Does anyone know the percentage of people tried and convicted of possessing an unregistered gun.I hope that Gus the hero doesn't need to do time with Burress.

He shot his self he probably learned his lesson already, 2 years is a lot for a self inflicted wound, they shouldn't try to make an example out of him.
They just released some terrorist who killed over 200 people after only 8 years, he served only 11 days per person.

He is lucky the bullit didn't hit his "vital organ".
I worked with a guy years ago who did the same thing only it hit his "vital organ'.
Everytime he took a leak outside on a windy day it sounded like a flute was playing.
I reckon Plax is lucky some musically inclined inmate wont want to blow his horn.
But then again, who knows what inmates might do.
There might be a bass player in the group.

I think the legal system is sick and tired of these athletes and celebrities doing what they want and thinking it's "ok" because they're "famous".
Yes, Plaxico Burress "only" shot himself. However, who does he think he is bringing a loaded gun into a night club full of people?? A gun he obviously can't handle. What if he would have "accidentally" shot someone in your family? Your son or daughter? Would you feel the same way?
Let him sit in prison, let him realize he's no more special than anyone else and he can't break the law simply because he's a football player.
He only got 2 years in prison --- I'm sure he'll be out on work release long before his 2 years are up. He'll be a big "hero" in prison simply because he's a football "star".
