none of them, really.

there are semi-suburban sections of the outer boroughs that bear a mild resemblance to certain towns in BC (e.g. eastern queens neighborhoods like douglaston and little neck, or some of the leafier streets of riverdale in the bronx). and of course staten island is more suburban than urban. but overall, there isn't any borough that is overly similar to bergen, which is decidedly inner-ring and mid-range suburban.

i guess staten island would be the default choice just because it has a more suburban character than the other boroughs, but still, it's pretty different.

you can't really compare entire nyc boroughs with suburban counties. as such, bergen's closest counterpart in the nyc metro is nassau county on long island.

I would say NONE. Not really an apples to apples comparison in any way. (Plus, by "Bergen County" it can mean a blue collar-ish southern Berg county area vs. say... Alpine, super wealthy and beautiful).

North Manhattan is right across the river from Bergen county and has nice areas. Wash Heights has a nice little enclave West of Broadway (sometimes referred to as Hudson Heights). Further North is Inwood which has nice pockets.

None of the boroughs are similar to Bergen County.
