@ emulator..youkd rather put ur wife, and two kids in a studio apartment, but refuse them a place in east ny, where they could have a room of their own! Ur logic makes no sense at all!! I'm really offended at ur comment! How dare you!!!! God the nerve!!!

thanks for the kind words...and no im not going thru with the studio thing, im going to cancel that interview..makes no sense to even try for that.. and yes i NEED something asap, but I'm not going to take whatever..I know it sounds contradicting..but when i meant I'll take what i can get, I didnt mean literally just Anything..moving is a big step, I'd rather take my family somewhere I know we'll all by happy, feel SAFE and have some sort of convenience, as far as getting to work/school etc... NO i will not take my family to east ny, and I grew up in the GHETTO of the lower east side.. it has greatly progressed since i was kid, But dont think Im some stuck up jerk.. I just want whats best for my family.. You get to talk all you want now that u have your little apt at RP2 good for you.. and congrats to all that got it
and btw I never tried to cheat the system, If you read my earlier posts, The denied us because of high deposits to our account, It was our mistake to take lump sums and deposit to the account to pay off credit cards..the money was money SAVED that we deposited. Either way its none of your concern.
edit: you obviously dont have children of your own , to even comprehend my reason to want to live in a place where i KNOW ME and my family will feel comfortable and SAFE

Okay whatever, I'm not trying to argue, and maybe I took what you said al little to serious. But I feel that if you were as really as "desperate" as you claim you'd take whatever you'd get. I grew up in the "ghetto" as weel and I can tell you it wasn't bad at all! Still went to school, got a job, supported myself. I just hate when people stigmatize. There are a lot of people in the "ghetto" who do good and accomplish...they don't need you turning ur nose up at them. But if you weren't then no harm, no foul...oh and p.s its not a little apartment its the g-line biggest studio on the floor and I got it because I didn't have the attitude you have.

ha, i didnt mean little as in size just a figure of speech, and my ATTITUDE you say i have wasnt the reason I didnt get the apartment. But like you said whatever, Im not here to argue with anyone..you calling me pathetic was uncalled for.. so u expected me to not respond to that..but again im dropping this subject as is, and this thread isnt my concern anyway anymore, so i wont post here i guess...all i was doing was giving an update but hey, you're good so what do u care.. peace

i care alot! i want everyone here to have an apartment, a place to call home. you can check my previous posts! i was the first to put up pics, and DETAILED how my application process went. it just upset me because i have been following ur story and to hear you say ' ghetto' angered me. i apologize for CALLING YOU PATHETIC, BUT "GHETTO" IS A SOCIALLY CONSTRUCTED WORD WITH NO ACTUALLY MEANING BUT TO STIGMATIZE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN URBAN ( INNER CITY ) AREAS. IF IT WASNT FOR GHETTOS YOU WOULDNT HAVE AREAS LIKE RIVERPLACE 2, AND OTHER MULTI MILLION DOLLAR DEVELOPMENTS. so please thinK before you post because im sure im not the only one offended by ur post.

i want you to take a look at the first post I made today, the one YOU got so deeply offended...WHERE DO I SAY the word GHETTO in there..i simply said i do not wanna move to that area, if anything , i was giving more info for other people on this Management company and how they work, and YES, i may be a little TOO picky for the situation I'm in right now..but it IS MY DECISION on WHERE i would like to LIVE for MANY YEARS to come, and even with the NEED of an apt ASAP. Im not takin the 1st thing thrown at me. And if you want to label me a stuck up, non-thankful SOB, go right ahead and do so, but i know where i STAND as a person.
copy and paste of my post:
what sucks is, i received a call for another apartment from PROGESSIVE MANAGEMENT these are their bldgs: The Arker Companies | Portfolio | Residential , they called me this morning for a 2 bedroom in "EAST NY" , as desperate as I am, i seriously do not wanna take my 2 young kids out there, coming from the lower east side of manhattan to goto the deepest part of EAST NY is a NO-GO for me, no matter how desperate I am. I "Street Viewed" the address, they're like decent looking town housing built in 2000, but I called them back and told them I'd like to wait for a different one. Whats cool about Progressive mgmt is , you send them EVERYTHING in 1 shot, even the money order for the credit check, " EVERYTHING" in a big certified POSTAL envelope.. and when something comes up , they just call you, you probably just go in to the office for teh lease and stuff, but they have it all already. Here the main site:
The Arker Companies
edit: so they called me back and said if I want to look at an apartment in the bronx. ( jeez its pretty far too, would be a nightmare for work and school), BUT , the building is newer ( 3 years old or so) and they have a 2 Bedroom available..the only thing is they have 1 person ahead of me for that apartment, and that if they DONT pass the background check , that I'd be next and ready to go, since they already did everything on us. Im going on Monday to see it, I figure, if possible ..take it and hang in there and keep applying for other stuff, closer to where we wanna live..
edit 2: this is the building: The Arker Companies | Portfolio | Residential

yeah, i decided to get a pull-out section. im going to place it with its back towards the window. i want a small coffe table with candles at the center, another love seat ( which will be in front of the heater/airconditioner), i want long drapes, and my tv will be mounted to the wall. my bathroom and closet is still up in the air. and the living room isnt definate. if you have any suggestions i love to hear them? i was thinking a traditional lving room my day and bedroom by night. thats aloy of moving funiture in the evening every day, but its worth it.

Ok see we're on the same page ! Lol ! Especially with the whole living room by day..bedroom by night. Since the space isnt huge enough for a bed..I was thinking of how I would situated where I could maximize the space..yet not have to do a TON of moving around late at night. If im coming home late from work..I dont see myself wanting to move much around. I'll probably just pass out on the couch ! lol
