Default Riverside and low W 90's?

Another neighborhood inquiry...we got approved for an apartment on Riverside in the low 90's. Went walking around for a few blocks tonight, seems safe enough, if a little deserted (circa 11pm). Definitely a pretty block...any comments on this one?

Just ALWAYS be careful at the wee hours of the morning, as you would anywhere in the city. Especially on the side streets. I was mugged at 4:30 in the AM on my way to work by someone hiding in the vestibule of one of the brownstones. Otherwise it's fine and if I could walk to work from there like I can from where I live now, I'd move back there in a flash.

Great neighborhood.
For some reason I like Riverside in the 100's a little better.. maybe because you begin to come under the Columbia orbit... but the 90's are fine.

Perfect. Thanks everyone! Hopefully we can finish this deal.

ViralMD - Yeah, I'm pretty careful. If we need to be out after 11 or 12 we'll generally taxi it, even if it's a short distance. Getting out of a taxi at the corner by my current place the other night, three officers chased a guy right in front of my taxi and tackled him on the sidewalk. Then there was the murder this week at 75th and 2nd, and the guy following me around Times Square "offering" to "help" with my bag Friday night. Stuff happens everywhere.
