No "actual" living experience on that block. But I've lived in BedStuy for 8 years. Three years on Halsey Street/Throop Avenue and five years on Hart Street/Throop Avenue.

I've been to the YMCA located near Bedford and Gates many times.

Not sure why you ask though?

Just new to the area and have been looking at an apt there, and want to take it. Just really unfamiliar with the area wanting to make sure it is safe for a single girl.
