Default Food near Union Square or Macy's 34th Steet

Hi,
I'll be in NYC tomorrow and need to eat by the Macy's on 34th St, or Union Square. I'm not feeling anything Asian or Indian, I don't want my stomach to explode!

The food sucks around 34th st in my opinion. However, Macy's has a food court in the basement which is a little better than your standard food court. No fast food. They have pasta, sushi, salad bar, sandwiches. There are your standard boring pre made wrap places like Pax, or pizza places. Union Square has many restaurants. If you want a burger as your name suggest you could go to Heartland Brewery on the corner of 16th and Broadway . If I were in Union Square tomorrow at lunch I'd eat at Dogmatic http://eatdogmatic.com/ on 17th and broadway. If I were in Herald tomorrow for lunch...and I will be I'd eat at Tio Pios a Peruvian place on 36th between 6th and 5th on the right side.

Since the weather is predicted to be sunny and in the 70s tomorrow, which won't happen again for a long time, I'd suggest al fresco dining in Union Square. The Coffee Shop has a nice outdoor seating area. The food is OK, not outstanding, but the scenery is great! If you want something more high-end (and expensive), check out Blue Water Grill's outdoor patio.

Heartland Brewery and Republic both have small sidewalk cafes too.

Or, you can just get something to go from one of the many nearby eateries and take it to the park.

I think I will grab a sandwich at Wichcraft by 34th, since Tom Collichio is my boyfriend; he just doesn't know it yet!

And where are you getting 70's and sunny from? I just checked weather.com and it's 50's with rain tomorrow!

the one that comes up on my google icons shows 73 and sunny for tomorrow (Thursday) which I guess technically is today since it is after midnight.

Maybe you got the today and tomorrow confused.
Thursday will be nice, Friday not so nice.
