Default A bus or train that comes from Philadelphia to Penn Station in New York?

I'm going to New York nxt week for the first time and I'll be going to the Grand Ballroom. A friend of mine suggested that I take Philadelphia's chinatown bus which will drop me off in New York's china Town. However, I'll be leaving from New York pretty late and alone at that and I wanted to know if there were any trains or buses that would take me to New York's Penn Station which is roughly a 5 minute walk from the Venue rather than taking the China Town bus and then the subway.

Sure, Megabus goes from Penn Station to Philadelphia 30th St. for $8-10. Bolt Bus goes between Madison Square and Phila. 30th St. too.

Your best bet is either Greyhound or Amtrak.

I think Amtrak. For example today it shows the last train leaving NY at 11:15PM arriving in Philadelphia at 12:42AM: Amtrak - Reservations - Fare Finder .
