Is this hotel still around? I remembered staying here YEARS ago and being scared out of my mind......car blew up in the parking lot, hookers in and out of the place....just curious.

I am not sure and probably wasn't even born when this hotel was up. However despite the new Yankee Stadium being billions of dollars to make and probably a few million to take the old one down, the area is still pretty crappy. With that said, I'm sure its nothing like it was back then when you stood around, and the area is heavily community based. So it has come along way and there's plenty of potential for it to be a great place to reside but it also has a lot of refining to go.
