Hi, I currently live in Ireland and I am studying childcare at college. I will be fully qualified in a year! And as soon as I finish my boyfriend and I want to move to Newyork. But I dont have a clue where is safe to live,where would be relativley cheap and what sort of job would pay good money!! I would love to live in manhatten but have heard it is quite dear?? Im so confused.. some1 please help..

Just as Americans can't "move to" Ireland without proper visas, etc., you can't just "move to" New York without a visa that's valid for working. Contact the consulate in Ireland about what you need. And be prepared to wait for a few years. Also check the "Legal Immigration" board on this forum.
