Can anyone tell me about this place? Is the neighborhood dangerous, safe, etc? Is it up and coming...would it make for a good investment? I ask because I inherited a place that I want to sell. Thanks.

You do NOT want to live in East NY/Cypress Hills/Brownsville. They are some of the most dangerous hoods in the country. Since you have the property, might as well rent it out to low income people and make a profit. Plenty of homeless families in NYC that need apartments. Plus section 8 has reopened.

I'll just let the photos do the talking:

Documentary shot in the area:

Go on live local and check it out for yourself.

Look for Fulton and Elton Street. Birds eye view. From above the properties are very run down looking (graffiti on the sides, roofs falling apart, junk in the back), packed in, and there are a lot of vacant lots full of trash/stripped cars. Check it out.
