Default malcolm x grave site

I am a single mom planning a trip to NYC in August. We would like to visit Malcolm X's gravesite. Where is it? We are staying in midtown. Thanks

Default online seach found this...

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...e=gr&GRid=1134

At the bottom of the article there is a link to the ferndale cemetery which is in Hartsdale (about 20 30 mins north of the city)

If you are relying on public transportation, you may have some trouble getting there, according to this article... http://www.hartford-hwp.com/archives/45a/026.html

Good luck though.

I highly recommend the trip up to the Ferncliff cemetery. The trip can be easily accomplished by taking a commuter train from Grand Central Station to Hartsdale. From there, it's a 5 minute cab ride at the most.

This is an amazing cemetery, one of the most impressive in the world, not only for its beauty but also for the list of the famous who are buried there ... and the famous are from the most diverse backgrounds and eras. And, in death, their graves are intermingled with the graves of the most modest, average citizens of the past.

Check it out their list of celebrities at: http://www.ferncliffcemetery.com/celeb_2.htm. It's truly an amazing place. And they even have a map available listing the locations of the graves of all celebrities.

It's well worth the trip.
