Dude, you are just going to have to wait a little bit longer to take the next DSNY exam. There is not going to be one next spring/summer. Why make up a term like unextended? when such a thing doesn't even exist?
If the people on the 6063 list have to wait(hiring freeze) then so can YOU and the thousands of other people who want to take the next DSNY exam. Think about that.
i asked very simple questions and in response i get lectured...thank you very much, i really needed that...the nerve of me to make up a word that didn't exist, i apologize...sincerely i do...and i loved the slight hint of condescension too
do me a favor, if i have a question in the future don't answer it, i don't need to be talked down to like a child
He was pretty nasty and condescending to you Angelo. Defiantly uncalled for. I hope all sanitation workers are not like that. I will defiantly take the next test when it comes out.

I'm not on the job just to let you know, anyway I surely hope they extend the 6063 even further since there will be no new hiring for a long time. That statement is shared by a few guys who are on the job who post on here. It is what it is.
I'm on the job since 97. Between 99 and 08 DSNY hired many sanworkers. Not as many were hired from the early 90s till late 90s. Unfortunately, for those waiting to get on the job,it's looking like it will take time to get hired. It will happen eventually. I just wanted to say that anyone that has put in time behind the truck, especially at 3am in the freezing rain deserves to take some time off the FDNY rant and chime in here. I doubt running into burning bldgs ever gets boring. Van,I'm not directing this at you so please don't take it the wrong way. I know you're wait is frustrating,I've been there but it will be ok sooner or later.
