Moving to New York
Just a thought I had in the back of my mind, what are the main pros and cons of living in and staying in the big apple. I'm not sure if I want to move to america but if I do, I d want to be in NYC

1) Why wouldn't you stay where you are now?
2) Why the US? What's wrong with Borneo, Botswana, or Zambia? Why nobody mentions them? Since I read the forums, nobody expressed a desire to move to Tanzania, but about 23 million folks who had never been to NYC before, know they must live here.
3) And, if the US is a must, why NYC? About 291 million Americans live elsewhere. Some of them lived in NYC in the past and at one point said: NO MORE!
Just a thought...

New York is the Capital of the world. You name it, we got it. It's not for the weak. You need to be on your toes, fast and multi-taske well. NYC is diverse, where every shade of color and lanuage know to man can be found. It's a mega city...accept the good with the bad. Only a true New Yorker loves this city...and only a true New Yorker can make it. You are welcomed to give it a try. But visit first...I am certain you will fall in love just like millions before you.

NYC is the best place to live if you want to actually LIVE. If you're ready to "settle down" or anything of that sort, it's probably not for you.
We move fast and we're always busy doing something. It's a great place to live and I don't know if i'm just saying that because I was born and raised here or if I'm in love.
I'll leave on this note. . .I love my city and I wouldn't want to be born any where else.
Cons:
Crowded
Expensive
Noisy(Though this isn't that bad)
Crowded
Pros:
Nightlife
Culture
Historical Landmarks
We're friendly =) (At times)

Not at all... My advice is come, be here for a while, get the vibe and if you still want to become a New Yorker, go ahead.
Honestly, NYC is the most overhyped place in history. The difference between what this city is and what people imagine, is huge. Don't get me wrong, I love the city and enjoy it, but its not what people imagine.
I was trying to think about other places on the globe (that people who never saw before dream about), and all I could come with are the garden of eden and el dorado. Anyway - its an interesting phenomena...
