Default apartment question

ive been looking at apartments on CL cause i might move to nyc next april/ may for school. say the price is 1500 does that mean if i have a roommate its going to be 1500 split between us 2 or 1500 per person?

Its a little early to be looking for apartments. But usually the price listed is what YOU pay. If you are looking at shares they might say how much you pay and how much the total rent is.

I don't think you'll ever see how much rent is per person... it'll always state how much is the total rent. Whether you want to live by yourself or with a roommate is your option and won't cost extra.

It depends on if it's an empty apartment or an existing share.

If someone's looking for a roommate, s/he will list what you're expected to pay (i.e., not the total rent).

If it's an empty apartment, the landlord will list the total rent.
