Default 165th up to 185th Street area conditions.

Hello!

I currently live in Staten Island and really want to move to Upper Manhattan. Can anyone tell me how safe and decent the area around 165th St. and north of that is?

i.e. feel safe on the subway, decent for a person alone to be around at night, quality of living conditions, etc)

Any help you be much appreciated!

Thank you!

It differs block by block. Some blocks are hot and others are tame.

since you're from staten island, you can prolly compare it to a mixture of richmond terrace/new brighton/st george, minus the housing projects. and think of inwood like around silver lake park area (victory blvd).
