My husband and I will be taking our two small children (2.5 & 6 months) and our mothers to the BBG for the Sakura Matsuri festival. I need a recommendation for a nice restaurant that will be relatively child friendly. Last year we went to Convivium Osteria and she really liked it so maybe something along those lines (but a little more child friendly perhaps). I've looked at the Zagat guide but would like real world experience.
If it helps so far I have Applewood, Stone Park Cafe, Moim, and Blue Ribbon Sushi on the list but don't know how far the are away from the gardens.

Thanks so much!
Im not sure how far in relation to the gardens these are but I can say Stone Park is good. I had brunch there and there where a lot of families with small children there. I wouldn't take little kids to Blue Ribbon Sushi. First of all theres nothing for them to eat. I've never been to the Brooklyn one but the one in Soho isn't exactly a child friendly environment.
I would recommend Tom's on the corner of Washington Ave. and Sterling Place. It's frozen in 1952 and very tasty and reasonably priced to boot. Breakfast all day. The kids will love it. Just look for the place blasting like Cole Porter tunes.
