Default For those of you who live in NYC?

Do you only stay in the borough that you live in?

When I lived in Astoria - definitely no. I went into Manhattan all the time - sometimes every single day. When I lived on Manhattan - I only went to Queens or Brooklyn to visit friends - maybe once every other week or so.

many if not most people who live in brooklyn, the bronx and perhaps queens work in manhattan. it's where the jobs are, particularly most of the better paying one. but I live in southern/central brooklyn and I can tell you my commute is shorter to my job in lower manhattan than it would be from many parts of manhattan, even below 125th street, particularly if they are far from the subway.

Sometimes leave Manhattan for the following:
Brooklyn - friends

I'd have to say that I'm in Brooklyn more than any of the other boroughs. But I don't think I limit myself to my home borough.

I go from Queens to Brooklyn almost everyday for school, and by that process, I have to pass through Manhattan, and sometimes when I go to my friend's house after school, I have to go all the way up to the Bronx.. so I'm used to being in four boroughs in a day. Staten Island doesn't count, lol.

Seeing as I work in a different borough, no. So I'm in Manhattan five days a week, and sometimes on the weekend to go out. I'd guess I do most of my socializing in Brooklyn (where I live), though I do have friends in Queens that I visit pretty often, and I'm in Staten Island a few times per month to visit family. I'm never in the Bronx, though I'd like to check it out sometime.
