A potentially powerful bomb discovered inside an SUV in Times Square led to a complete evacuation of the area last night. Tragedy was averted when a T-shirt vendor notified police. No news yet on who is responsible. Keep your eyes open and be safe!
Hopefully, when the party responsible is found out, there won't be a lot of hand wringing and concern for his or her "civil rights," particularly since he or she obviously didn't have much consideration for ours!
Many people don't realize this isn't the first time this has happened. There have been actual explosions and such in Times Square a few times within the past year or two, but it usually happens at some odd hour like between 3 and 4 in the morning.

On the contrary, I hope we will go by the book and be scrupulous about their rights, so there will be no possibility of excluded evidence or claims of a mistrial.
I was there last night, and I was so petrified I seriously couldn't sleep last night.. no lie. I prayed for the NYPD and New Yorkers. It felt like 911 to me for a reason. I mean, had that exploded, who knows. I might not be posting this. Anyhow, I believe that if this is linked to Al-Queda in any way, shape, or form, then they must obviously be targeting Times Square now.
