Take the Staten Island Ferry from New York to Staten Island and back - great views of Statue of Liberty and NYC skyline: Free

Bring a picnic lunch and visit the High Line - a former elevated train line converted in a park. Very chic and one of the hottest places to hang out in NYC. Bring a brown bag lunch, find a bench, and watch all the beautiful people walk by. This is one of New York City's coolest free places right now: The High Line

Walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. Have all natural ice-cream at The Brooklyn Ice-Cream Factory on the pier at Water Street.

A walk through Central Park. Visit a Museum.

As noted above.....a day in Central Park could be your ticket.

You can try the Cloisters Museum. It is WAY up.... off the beaten path, but a different experience from the usual Manhattan trip. The museum sits in a really nice park called Ft Tryon.

Ever been to the Tenement Museum?
