damn son, as soon as someone mentions bk hoods, you be ON it. But for real, when I first went to the bronx to see the zoo, (i was like 11, only been in nyc for a year) I was maaad shook, cuz of all the stories i had heard.

I love Manhattan because of the night life in general. I love shopping downtown and eating out. I enjoy the mid-town area, window shopping and visiting friends. Uptown to clubs, the Apollo theater, corner shops, and catching the subway to get back downtown.

Brooklyn, visiting family, friends, Coney Island in the summer time, Brighton Beach area, Flatbush area for some good Jamacian cusine, music, musuems, theater, ect...

Queens, easy access to La Guardia airport lol..

I'm not actually trying to defend SI (I loathe the whole city and am hoping to be out of it sometime next year), but I must say two things:

1. SI has tried to secede twice, with serious efforts made both times. Each time, the City and State downright refused to even consider it. If we are so hated, why can't we just become our own city? Apparently there's something about a boro that is filled with working people, generally more inclined towards tax paying than benefit taking, that makes the City want to hold onto us...

2. I wish more people - especially from Brooklyn - hated SI enough in the 70's, 80's and 90's not to move here! Enough said.
