Manhattan first because that's where I live (haven't been here long enough to call it my hometown but it's starting to feel like home!!) then Brooklyn, then Queens, then the Bronx....then Staten Island...never even been to Staten Island....don't have reason to go there, probably never will...

Its funny that you listed them that way because that is the order of my picks.
1. Brooklyn is my fave because of sentimental reasons & because its a more laid back than Manhattan
2. Manhattan.....do I really need to explain? LOL
3. Queens is cool kinda laid back but still not LI
4. Bronx.....SI was last so Bx just fell into this place
5. SI least because its too far and I really have no reason to ever go there.

Staten Island seems like the little brother that stays in his room of all the time in his own little world and while the other four are out at parties.

Default Queens crazy streets!!

I think Queens would be my second least favorite.. I too always get lost there... Wondering how I end up on a 150th Street bet 130th Ave and 133th all at the same time

That's not weird at all, since streets and avenues are independently numbered and supposed to intersect.

What I always thought was weird was how you can be on the corner of West 4th Street and West 10th Street in Manhattan.

1. Bronx-this is nyc's little secret gem i dont know for how long though. But its the birthplace of hip hop and home of the yankees
2.Manhattan-Speaks for itself
3.Brooklyn- Has good character
4.Queens- Dont know why this borough gets voted over the bronx. Its definently the most boring after staten island
5.Staten island

Manhattan-Obvious
Queens-I like it, it has a good balance between vibrant and quiet.
Brooklyn-I live here but its not my favorite. Lots of cool spots though.
Bronx-There are some lost gems like some have said, still too many high-crime areas but it probably won't be that way for too much longer.
Staten Island-took the Ferry once and drove through there once; that's all I know, can't comment.

Manhattan
Queens
Brooklyn
Staten Island
The Bronx

I'm just not a fan of The Bronx at all. I love Manhattan and Queens though. I especially love Queens because I love cars and living in Queens is a nice mix between urban and suburban. Besides it's where I live now and its closer to my hometown on Long ISland.
