Default Commute time by car Park Slope to Exit 49 LIE (Rt 110)

Anyone out there doing the reverse commute from Park Slope to Exit 49 on the LIE. How long at 7 or 8am and back to Brooklyn at 6 or 7pm?

Appreciate the advice.

I would say it should take from an hour to an hour and a half depending on traffic. I go out to long island but live in Queens and take the Southern State usually. I think that leaving at 7am would be best to avoid traffic. There is usually more traffic when coming home...near the city.

It takes close to an hour with NO traffic, which happens rarely if ever.

If you go early, though, you might not do too badly going out. I suggest picking up the BQE at Prince St and Tillary. It's best to use Ashland Place and Myrtle to get up there. You bypass a lot of the mess near the Brooklyn/Manhattan Bridges. In the past you could access Ashland Place from 4th Ave near Flatbush, but they've closed that off. You can still get Ashland via 3rd Ave/Lafayette near BAM, or take Vanderbilt up.

Unfortunately, from 6 to 7 pm is a mess either direction.
