Hi, I am looking an apartment in the Celtic Park complex of Sunnyside and thought, since it is such a large place, that someone here might know something about it. How's the area (it looks fairly nice)? And how is the place managed, are there any problems with it/dirtiness, bugs?

Much thanks. Also does any know how to interpret the HPD Housing Violations page? Whenever I search for a property quite a few open violations appear, mostly for little things that look like they arose a few years ago, but is it a bad sign that they don't show as being resolved? I might be reading the page incorrectly.

as far as the HPD issues go, most of the the time, management might have corrected the problem already, but you have to notify HPD that the problem has been corrected so that the inspector can verify, and then dismiss the violation. Most times management desnt notify HPD because it cost $300. and that price was from about 7 years ago, im sure it went up now.

Ah that makes a lot more sense why as to why I see so many minor infractions that seem to have been pending for a long time. I guess the only thing to be really concerned about then would be repeat violations of a similar problem?
