I don't think that question can be answered. It's all up to you. People can argue that Penn South is in a better neighborhood but I personally don't like it. I just like my lower east side great people, food , culture, schools etc.

Projects are very avoidable with Penn South, although as far as projects go they are very tame anyway. A couple of other things in Penn South's favor is proximity to a lot of transportation options and the grounds are nicer. It also generates its own electricity rather than relying on the grid like everyone else.

I don't see the answer anywhere as to what number the one-bedroom list is up to. If you know, please share. Many thanks.

This was the status less than two weeks ago: http://www.city-data.com/forum/35756818-post283.html it's not going to have changed much, if at all. If your number is in the 300s then you're probably looking at 3 years or so before they call you.

Thanks Popartist!

So I walked through Masaryk Towers yesterday and it was quite a Zoo. The walkway (Riverington Street) was full of people from young kids, older folks, etc. Maybe they need to really look to close those gates. Once I figure out how to post multiple pictures on here I'll post a few from yesterday.

Would love to see those photos. I took a stroll through there as well and it was quiet. So I'm sure is different at different times. Gates sounds like a much needed security feature.
