I would not worry too much. I'm think or maybe if your income goes above the limit, you probably need to pay overage extra percentage. I think...

I am getting anxious that by the time they call me my income will be just over the limit but I am trying to keep the faith.
If the income is within limits when you get called, you will be good. If the income is above, then I believe you will be disqualified. Once your in, you can make 200k/year and it wouldn't matter. They would just raise your monthly maintenance fee.

I feel like I am one of the only few on the 3BR list here, saw the number for 3BR finally start moving, it's at 32 right now, but that's a good start I suppose, since Wanting to Move mentioned earlier this year that they were only doing applications for the veterans.

So excited about finally moving in! The process from when I turned in my application till I received my keys was about 6 weeks. The management over at Masaryk were very helpful! BTW I moved into a 3 bedroom

It will come soon. Just don't think about it. I always called when my lease was about to expire and before signing it for the next year. It was a blessing that I received this call when I did. I had to move out by Feb and Masaryk called me right before Thanksgiving. I was tired of paying outrageous rent at Lefrak City. They are remodeling now and the non rent controlled tenants are really paying for it.

My original number was 50 and I waited about 3 1/2 years for the apt. Good Luck and hopefully you get called soon.

I have taken over my mothers apartment at Masaryk, and had a chance to see Masaryk from a difference perspective since I'm living there.

As such, I would not compare Masaryk Towers to the projects, nor would I agree that the crime is as high. Yes, Mitchell Llama coops were established to maintain affordable housing for low-middle income "working class" families. However, the differences are significant: Masaryk has 24 hour security (pro-active guards who make hourly building checks of basement and stairwells), This is augmented by cameras in the building and in the elevators. There is also an added security button in the elevators that automatically dials the 7th precinct in case of emergency! The command center security booth monitors surveillance system. Additionally every morning the buildings' 21 floors are mopped and outside the building is hosed down.

Although admittedly, the apartments themselves are probably not much different than Masaryk - I took my daughter to visit a classmate in Baruch a few years ago, and it was (in all due respect) dirty and the smell of urine was unreal! I also recall a News report about a young lady's lifeless body discovered in a Baruch elevator at 7am a few years ago. It was then revealed that the cameras were installed in 90% of the NYCHA projects, but not activated! This became a huge scandal, and I do not believe it has been resolved to this day! So, Yes Masaryk is sandwiched between two projects, but the security, daily maintenance and caring shareholders make for a better environment and a better overall living experience.
That's Just my two cents

for a 1 bedroom the limit is about 100K, and for a 3 bedroom is about 150K!
