Moving to Ithaca - any info?
Hello,
My husband and I are considering a move to Ithaca, NY. We know very little about the region and welcome any comments concering life there. Thank you for your reply. liza.judy

There should be some information in this previous thread:
Ithaca, New York? You could also type Ithaca into the search function at the top and get a bunch of threads regarding the city. Good luck, and I hope you find the info you need.

If one goes on all the 'moving to Ithaca' postings on this board, Ithaca is a veritable boom town! Seems like it is every other posting!
As ex-Ithacan said, search the board- there are several long threads on Ithaca already. The general breakdown seems to be that quite a few people love the place, the majority at least like it and a small minority despise Ithaca, primarily for political reasons or discomfort with ethnic and 'lifestyle' diversity. Nothing like a visit to give you a first-hand feel. And now through the fall is perhaps the nicest time of year.
