Behind The Walmart In Monroe? Toxic? (Harriman: buying a house, buying, area)

I remember reading a post here a few years ago regarding the area in Monroe / Harriman specifically behind or near the Walmart that warned of buying a house around there due to toxic soil issues etc. I tried searching many times but can't find the thread.

Someone also told me that there is a chemical plant around that area and to be aware of it.

Is there any truth to this? What building is on 52 River Road in Harriman?
